British Grasstrack Senior 85cc Champion 2009

WELCOME TO MY WEB SITE

My name is Jordan Holliday, I am thirteen years old and I have been racing motorbikes for seven years.

It all started when my dad brought me a KTM Pro Junior 50cc auto bike for my fifth birthday. I used to ride it around the garden and then dad entered me into a race meeting. I didn’t like it much because I fell off and hurt my foot but I have continued to get better and although I was never that good in the auto's I finished sixth in my club championship the first year and fourth in my second year. I then went onto a 65cc KTM and started winning races. I won my first championship in my first season and then went on to compete in the National Series where I had some success until I broke a bone in my hand! I raced in the Nationals for two seasons and then got offered a ride with Nigel Arnold Racing on a factory KTM 85cc bike which meant moving up a class a year early. This was great for me but I felt loads of pressure riding for a team with loads of sponsors. The team was helped by two times World Superbike Champion Troy Corser and with the help from Nigel and Troy, Aston Bird and Christian Whatley I managed to finish 12th in the National Championship. I also started to race at some Supermoto British Championship rounds once I reached my 11th birthday and I really enjoyed this. I found it easy compared to motocross and was finishing in the top four. I was then offered a Supermoto ride with MW Racing aboard a Honda CRF150R for the 2008 season which I accepted after speaking with Nigel and Troy. They both advised me to have a go and use it as a stepping stone to road racing. I managed to win races from the start of the season and really only had one challenger. Unfortunately for me he was 15 years old and in his fifth year racing Supermoto but I did manage to beat him in a few races which kept him honest! I managed to finish second in the National Championships and although I only competed in three rounds of the British Championship, I finished fourth overall. I also started road racing in June this year and my first race was in the Aprillia Superteen Challenge at the Donnington Moto GP. I have done every round since and started to finish reguarly in the top ten.

In 2009 I will concentrate on the Aprillia Superteen Series and try to finish in the top six.

Please enjoy my site and don't forget to come and say hello when you see me at the track.
