Apillia Superteen Challenge
Since its inception back in 1996 the Aprilia Superteens Challenge has been the launch pad for many international racing careers and to date has spawned two world champions, James Toseland and Casey Stoner as well as a host of other riders competing at British and World Championship level.
Casey Stoner
Casey travelled halfway around the world to start his Road Racing career in the Aprilia Superteen Challenge here in the UK. He went on to compete in the Moto GP world championship in 2002 on a 125 Grand Prix machine and just 5 years later, he clinched the Moto GP World Championship in the Premier Class, to become the youngest champion in recent times. (Yes, even younger than the great Valentino Rossi!)
"This fantastic one make series gave me the perfect grounding in race skills and set me on the road to success in a way that no other series could have. I would urge any aspiring young racer to take up the Superteen Challenge if they really want to find out just how much potential they have."
Bradley Smith
Came from youth motocross into the Aprilia Superteen Challenge before being chosen by Alberto Puig and the Dorna Acadamy to follow Dani Pedrosa, Toni Elias and Joan Olive on the fast track into Moto GP racing. Bradley has since gone on to be the youngest ever British rider to stand on the Moto GP podium. Widely tipped as one of the most likely candidates for the title in 2008, Bradley has proved that he has what it takes to end the long wait for another British Grand Prix Champion.
"The Aprilia Superteen Challenge wasn't easy at first and the mental toughness that I needed to keep trying until I found success has stood me in good stead in the extremely tough environment of GP racing. It's a terrific series with fierce competition right through the field, any rider who really wants to go places must first succeed here."
Paul Bird (BSB Manager)
"Every team manager, professional series promoter and sponsor I know of, always has one eye on the Aprilia Superteen Challenge. We all know that our future riders will first appear on the radar in this superb championship. We often know the names and abilities of the main contenders before they even realise we have been watching them. A start in the Aprilia Superteen Challenge always makes me take a riders CV seriously."
All rounds of the 2008 J&S Dunlop Aprilia Superteen Championship will be televised on Motors TV, giving you, your team and your sponsors maximum exposure.
