Motocross 2009

After a long lay off due to injury, Jordan is now back competing again.

We would like to thank all of Jordan’s sponsors for your continued support during what has been a very frustrating time for Jordan. His neck is now fully repaired and his consultant is very pleased with how hard Jordan has worked. Jordan now feels really good and just needs to get his bike fitness back.

Because of the severity of the injury and a big loss in confidence on the road bike, Jordan has decided to concentrate on his Motocross for the rest of 2009 where he feels more comfortable and although lacking in some fitness still, he has already proved that he can race with the fastest twelve to fifteen year olds in the country.

He has raced at four race meetings over the last month and finished in the top three in every meeting with two thirds a second and a win overall. We will monitor fitness over the next few weeks and then decide whether to race at some National Rounds towards the end of the year. See results page for more information.

Jordan wants to get back into road racing hopefully next year but thinks he would be better suited to a GP125 bike which would be lighter and handle much better than the Aprillia for such a small rider. He has been offered a test ride later this year which he is looking forward to. If it goes well, and more importantly Jordan is happy and enjoys the experience, we will see if we can raise the money to race in this class for 2010.

Once again, thank you all for your support.

Update September 15th 2009

Jordan has finished 2nd in his club Championship, only really missing out on the overal win due to injury. He has won every round he has competed in except for one round where he ended up in the medical centre!

Well done from all of your family and friends.

Jordan will ride in the ACU British Grasstrack Championship Finals in October and has then decided to do some testing on the Aprillia RS125. We would like to thank Steve and Becky from Sixty One Racing, and John Shelton for giving Jordan a bike to test on over the next few months. More news on this as it happens!

If anyone has got any leathers to fit an average 13 year old and size uk5 road race boots we could borrow, please get in touch urgently.
